I've never been to Pine Ridge--though, if I were to travel anywhere, that would be high on my list--but I've read enough about it to be profoundly disturbed. And that's just one region of this continent--this hemisphere, this world--that's been brutally oppressed. It's taking my entire adult life to unlearn the lies I was taught in grade school (although, even as a kid I never bought into Custer and Cortez being heroes).

Past history??? ethnic biases?? Wake up and go visit Wounded Knee in South Dakota ..then ask yourself what has been happening AND is continuing to happen?
