Why are all you awful people having racist rants under a beautiful song about peace and tragedy...go take your redneck hate somewhere else.

NO OFFENCE to anyone I am part native american and I love the lessons that I have learned at pow wows and ceremonies I wouldn't be the person I am today I know that the lands were native first and what was done was wrong but I teach my children RESPECT all even the man that gave me my death sentence I did not ask for what has happened but I can not change it and if he was laying down dieing I would help I have learned strength from every where and the woman that sings this song shows strength

@bookteafun Maybe pre columbus, but not pre-french or pre-viking for that matter. We all know that Columbus wasn't the first one to get here from Europe.

Phew, what a voice and strength. Beautiful woman too at that!

Americans please read the book "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee"--should compulsory reading for all high school students, their parents and politicians. And listen to this song. Americans know next to nothing about Native Peoples--the land they have their houses on. ITs time to change that--abuses against Native people continue--albeit on a subltler level.

@NativeAmerican4Life Earlier than that. It was on a cassette called "In The Spirit Of Crazy Horse" that came out in 1992.
