I just realized that that wasn't Cliff Gallup on lead. Who was it?

Talk about raw! As a guitar player, I couldn't help noticing Cliff Gallup's flub at 0:54, but it doesn't detract from enjoying this clip. High energy to the Nth degree, and the band really rocks it. Guys like Gene, Carl Perkins, the Johnny Burnette Trio, Jerry Lee Lewis and Billy Lee Riley, as well as more recent ones like The Blasters and The Stray Cats show that real rock 'n' roll will always have a place in spite of MTV and talentless hacks like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.

gene vincent my all time favorite singer

Martin Scorcese was on the ball when he selected this for one of the 'context' clips in the Dylan biopic No Direction Home.

THis is actually as good as Little Richard.
-
Gallup had left by the time this was recorded so it is either Meeks or another player. Gallup played a Duojet and Les Paul Custom from time to time and smoked over everyone Gene had in his place.
