I have been using a DC-5 head for the past 10 years. Only head I've found that sounds great both clean and lit up.

Nice demo!-it may actually be the best tone and versatility for the money. I have watched them go for less than 1/2 of what the one trick pony Mark I's Mark II's go for. Threw away my compressor for clean tones this thing is smooth as butta! The volume mod is a must -stock they are too touchy. Reverb is barely adequate. Was going to replace the dreaded "Black Shadow" but it has grown on me too. This is a keeper.

What a sound !! I have a JV Squier Precision bass which is just as amazing !! and now I just bought a JV strat 62 reissue Squier, which is so well kept, but doesn't have the stock pickups in it :( any idea which pickups they used in those models, or which can suite the best in these guitars ? I thought about Seymour Duncam SSL1...

Hi,
well done!! also have dc5 Combo. got that little problem that the tone in the cleanchannel gets dirty almost around 2!! how bout yours? can you put it over 2 without getting a distortion? thx, rockon, peace

@wurstgulaschpfanne depending on the gain setting. With gain around 4-5 the amp will remain crystal clean with master volume up until 6-7. I have no experience beyond that point to be honest, the amp would be ridiculously loud. Check your pre and output tubes.

@slowhand633 thank you! No there is no built in delay, I'm using a TC G-System for that!

Great tone, was thinking of buying one, one question though, what are they like at home volumes, is it possible to crank, or would it be earth shudderingly loud?
Cheers

It's a boogie, meaning that it is very very loud even at 50 watts, but personally I don't think that you need to crank it in order to sound good, it plays very well with the master volume around 2.
