Excerpt from "An Evening of Sacred Hymns" Marian, Eucharistic, and Vesperal, at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Raleigh, NC, March 22, 2009.
Here the parish singers of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church sing musical selections from Byzantine Catholic Liturgy, the end of the Lenten service of the Presanctified Gifts, "Sub Tuum Praesidium" (We Hasten to Your Patronage, O Virgin Mother of God), "Lord Have Mercy", "Having Suffered the Passion for Us, Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have Mercy on Us"
@frbjoern Russian choral singing was developed by Ukrainian musicians brought to Muscovy during the era of the Russian Empire -- it is not natively Russian.

It looks like there are only nine people in the choir but it sounds like a choir of thirty. Majestically beautiful to the Glory of God. They sound more like Russian Orthodox or Russian influenced.
