What makes it such a good theme song is that it isn't flashy, or 'new age'. It's a very retro tune that makes the show all the more amazing. They don't need explosions in their intro to make the show what it is. And coming from a guy in North America, where everything needs intense drama and explosions to be on tv, that means a lot.
