  • Hi febc3135. In answer to your question: The profession requires a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, which may take two years if you have an undergrad degree in SLP OR three years if your undergrad degree is in another field. Post grad school, there is a nine or ten month clinical fellowship required before you can apply to be fully licensed and certified. Check out the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) website and your state's DHMH board for SLP.
