Diamond Doves.

This is a pair of diamond doves that i have and they are a new pair that i have had for a month. this is a male and female pair the way you an tell male from female is by looking at the eye ring. the male has a large red ring around the eye compared to the female. diamond doves only lay 2 eggs at a time and only take a 2 weeks to hatch the chicks. the male and female both feed the chicks by opening the mouth and letting the chick stick its beek in the parents mouth and feed diamond doves are not the same size and ring neck doves at all. they are half the size and make great aviary pets.

@dave1212ish .........no the one baby that was in side started to hatch and later that day when i returned from work I noticed the egg still was the same with just a little whole with the baby starting & never hatched. Si i gave it until the end of the evening and i helped it hatch but he or she was died & dryed up. they relayed another set of eggs and they were to hatch this weekend and nothing. Im nost sure why they are aving bad luck. I will give them one more try this year in about a month

@charliesweb1k oh im sorry to hear that it may be the male isnt that fertile and he made the squab unhealthy maybe try a different type of feed

@dave1212ish ........I have some eggs in the hovabator and i tryed checking by uing my special light that is for eggs that i bought hrough ebay .But the eggs are hard to tell since the shell is so dark so next week if i get some to hatch then ill have an answer. i also check the eggs after they don't hatch to see if the baby just did not incubate will but was in side growing. ill update you....I love all you comments thanks
