問わず語り (Towazu Gatari)

Please enjoy Teresa's performance of a Japanese song "問わず語り (Towazu Gatari)", meaning "Speaking unasked". 「ヘイ・ジョニー」　（最下段、参照）　の作詞・作曲者、そして歌手の 中野安兵衛さん ご本人から次のようにご挨拶を頂きました:　 「 『輪廻』 という曲が1977年頃出来て・・・その曲をもとにして1987年に 『問わず語り』 を作りました。」 (中野安兵衛さんは、キムタク、木村拓哉さん（歌手、俳優）の叔父さんでもあられるようです。）

Mr. Nakano Yasubei (Yasubay) (中野安兵衛), the original composer and the original lyricist of this song kindly sent me a mail, on January 21, 2009.　　He sang his own song "輪廻 (Rinne)", composed and written by himsel in 1977.

Using this original melody, he wrote this "問わず語り (Towazu Gatari)" in 1987 for Teresa Teng to sing. He wrote the original lyrics based on his own experience as a singer while playing the guitar at Roppongi, Tokyo.

Mr. Nakano Yasubay sent us today (April 14, 2009) a special present of his own singing of his original song "問わず語り (Towazu Gatari)". Please watch his video response below. This is the song sung by a female dancer (an imaginary girl).

(I can remember that day)

Aitsuwa basueno hikikatari
He (Yasubay) was a singer by playing the guitar at the outskirts of the town (Roppongi)

Watashiwa odorikoyo an du tuwa
(and I was a dancer, "un due twa")

絵になる二人と笑っては
Eninaru futarito watattewa
("This is a picturesque setting", we laughed)

肩をよせあう　裏通り
Katawo yoseau uradouri
(We walked shoulder-to-shoulder on the back street)

心をひとつに　重ねれば
Kokorowo hitotsuni kasanereba
(When our hearts are together)

冷たいベッドもあたたかい
Tsumetai beddo (bed) mo atatakai
(the cold bed becomes warm)


暮らしに決まりがあるじゃなし
Kurashini kimariga arujanashi
(There is no rule in our lives)

風に吹かれて　西東
Kazeni fukarete nishi higashi
(We go to the west and east backed by window)

うれない歌でも　熱くなる
Urenai utademo atsukunaru
(We can be easily heated even with an unfamiliar song)

あいつの横顔　好きだった
Aitsuno yokogao sukidatta
(I liked his profile)

出来れば二人で　その夢を
Dekireba futaride sono yumewo
(If possible, I wanted to dream together)
