  • Great review. How did you attach it to your strap?

  • On the back of the sheath there where two attachment points, and then on the base of the sheath I used two of the lanyard holes to attach it to the strap with a zip-tie. it stays in place very well, but because of the zip-ties it is very difficult to remove it from my bag and use it in a different system.

    Thank you,

    Danny

  • thank you for the input, your absolutaly right about all the info, ive had this knife for ages and had forgotten all the tech specks about it haha. ill probablly redo this one with a cheat sheet and put in all the right facts. about the rust issue, ive started using Rem oil, and its worked great, and i always use WD40, and a cup towel to clean up my blades.

  • It doesn't rust so I guess it's 440c then 30 seconds later it rusts really badly when I baton through wet trees. Just some constructive criticism.

  • The older version of the KA-BAR mini tanto DOES rust. The newer version does not. The steel of the new one is 1095c

  • 440 from ka-bar you must have gotten one that was made in china

  • how many degrees is the nose angle on this?

  • hello, can you tell where did you buy this knife?

  • @AlexanderEddy Yeah, kydex is the same as FRN, plus it has a hardness of about 90, thats hardser than the blade, lol they should be making kydex blades, but their is no real way to sharpen them and they would prolly snap instead of bending under stress.

  • @Spartan9567 Are you sure?

I'm pretty sure Kydex and FRN are different

  • @AlexanderEddy lol, just rmembered That Kydex and FRN are used to describe the same material.

  • @Spartan9567 MrCrispy was right, it is a FRN sheath.

  • @AlexanderEddy kydex man, thermoplastic sheaths, i got one and its tough as, did the whole run over by car test and its still going strong
