I decided to over clock my laptop to get better fps in games like crysis and cod4.

i had that card before (w/ 6pin pcie 75 + 2x 4 pin molex 75w mod which is 150w total external input and 225w if include pcie slot itself) and it's able to clock up to 1133(core)/3660(shader)/1500(r­am, 3000mhz ddr, with much higher cycle latency) with custom cooling and vcore of 1.8(pencil mod + bios flash). the performance was able compete with 8800gs and even 8800gt at that time.

because the one you had might be the ddr2 version.

@weenator Some of those cards have ddr2 memory at 400Mhz, some others have ddr3... (the lucky ones!) Unfortunately, I have the ddr2 one, but with 512Mb! =)

how come your memoryclock can go up to 900? i have the same exact graphics card and it can only go from 400 to 600

I have 2x 8600GT 512mb DDR2 SLi Enabled

540Mhz Core Clock

1140 Shader Clock

400 Memory Clock

Idle temperature 48-50

Ingame 62-60

When if i make the memory from 400 to 500 it freezes. why?
