4yo, Owned by Claire Ingham. First competition with him, bringing him on for eventing this year. Only been based with us a week. I was meant to be doing the 1m Amateur and Newcomers on Peter and Juliette, but as I came out of the ring on Cal somebody elses horse kicked me, so I spent the rest of the day in A&E. I possibly have a fractured foot.

  • u shouldnt jump ur horse till their 5

  • He's five in May. If that's the case I suggest you take up your concerns with BE and BSJA who allow horses to compete in the year of their 4th birthday.

  • :D he looks like he'll be a huge potential for eventing, I guess to move up the grades a horse has to be really bold and willing to take you into fences :) Well ridden (as always!) I may have to convince you to come give me a lesson one day :P xx

  • Haha I suppose so - bold and willing is one thing, sheer cockiness is another though ;)

Perfectly willing to meet somewhere half way T, doesn't bother me! FB and we can sort something out! xx

  • very nicely ridden laura! :) shame about the pole, but a very nice 4yo ride you've got there! :D

hope your ankle is ok after being kicked :S xxx

  • thank you Mandy! he's a little cracker - it's nice to have a bold, keen 4yo rather than something you really have to nurse. he /wants/ to do his job.

It's currently packed in lots of ice and very very sore! It's more the edge of my foot - little toe joint at very odd angle and purple!

  • Yeah he's not a stopper, think he was just a bit over awed at that corner at JAS and his head had gone for the skinnies. I'm sure you'll both be fine :D ~x~

  • Yeah haha bless him :) Just pleased he didn't think about stopping at anything! x

  • @petrishka

yes he does look very bold and keen to do his job :D which is definitley something you want! :)

ouch! :( maybe just the little bone in your little toe is a bit fractured? *fingers crossed* it wont stop you riding long term or anything!!! xx

  • Definetely! I want one like that! :L
