I understand that long before the breakup and the advent of Joan Plowright Vivien Leigh had many lovers while she was marrried to Olivier iIt doesn't seem to me she was all that madly in love with Larry all the time.Perhaps their good days were by then far behind them.Just possibly it is her fans who hold onto the romance.

Wow! This video is superb! I love how it seems as if she is reflecting back on her times with Larry, and there is definite sadness in her eyes. This video made me shed a tear. Thanks for the beautiful tribute.

@oldbag010101 Woah, I don't think lunatic is the right word here! She had a condition. A lunatic is someone who is completely nuts and refuses to admit it. Vivien knew she had a problem and had her moments of stability. Plus we don't know if that midnight swims thing is true. Much of what we know about her is from the bios of others but how often do those people twist or change stories and make them inaccurate? She remains, to us, quite a mystery.

Thanks Leigh for your comment. The photos of Notley on your site are just wonderful. No trace of a swimming pool though. I remember reading that when Notley was on sale, it was bought by a pair of canadian people. And the last time Vivien visited there, the roses had given place to the fundations for the swimming pool...
