Mad-cow disease is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease in cattle that causes red eyes and a spongy degeneration in the brain and spinal cord. It is believed, but not proven, that the disease may be transmitted to human beings who eat infected carcasses.   • I agree ... totally GROSS..also if it takes that long to develop in humans then we could have it now and not know it for fifteen years or more. That is rather unsettling to me.

  • ok wait a min, u mean to tell me every time i eat a hamburger or a hot dog there's brain matter and cow eye balls in it??? please tell me that I haven't been eating cow brains and cow eye balls every time i eat these things eww GROSS
