Heaven! I absolutely love Sennen Cove, it's like my second home because it's where we go on holiday every year, I absolutely love it :)

@mikesperrey Surfers think they rule the beaches and the sea!One day in November me and the missus were fishing on the beach when some surfers come up to us after getting suited up and asked us to stop fishing!!Ignorant sods!,then they surfed in front of us so we had no choice to pack up,to be honest i wish i had beaten them all up,but i didnt want to upset my missus,I hope i dont see them again when im on my own.

"Locals Only" lol you might get that elsewhere, not down here though. Most locals avoid Sennen on bank holidays like the plague. If you must its best to use the top car park and walk down the hill to the eastern end of the beach for some space. Western end is always busy, as most visitors need to be 5 yards from the loo and ice creams ...

'Locals only' referrs to surfers and localism that goes on there and also at a lot of Cornish breaks. Observe the surfers' rules of conduct and respect the local surfers and you'll be fine

Though not Cornish, (my children and grandchildren were born here) I have lived here for 25 years and visited most areas. I have never seen any signs stating "Locals Only" for beaches, pubs or anywhere else. The Cornish these days are very welcoming towards 'Emmets' and 'Off-Comers' Though they might have a little joke at their expense from time to time!

I bet the locals would prefer to see a beach full of tourists bringing money into the area than a few winging surfers complaining about "their" beach being filled with "emmets" whose contribution is a few pints at the Old Success at the end of the day before going to sign on again at the local DSS offices.

Ooo-err!
I don't think locals have a preference, they can enjoy "their" beaches 52 weeks a year. I think most of us enjoy the six weeks of mayhem the holiday season brings! As for 'winging!!' surfers and 'signing on' I'm afraid that thats a very outdated idea of life down here.
