Thousands march for equal rights on Broadway downtown San Diego California, 25,000 + easily with thousands of people on the side streets screaming and honking for equality!

With a myriad of handmade signs with statements like Let Mary marry Mary and Has anyone seen my civil rights? or Dont make love a battleground; It's not anarchy, it's equality; and My happiness will not hurt you. Grassroots community organizers across the country joined in an international protest against Proposition 8. Join the Impact organized these rallies to happen simultaneously as one loud voice to be heard across the nation. It is estimated that over 1,000,000 people participated in rallies and marches in over 300 cities in the US and internationally. San Diego participated with two coordinated events. The protest started at Sixth & Upas in Balboa Park and marched down Sixth to Broadway, ending at the County Administration Building where shade was a luxury. The rally spread messages of hope & equality while discussing the fight against Prop. 8 and what can be done to ensure equal rights for everyone
