SeqMonk can easily be applied to the analysis of RNA-Seq data to determine differential expression. This video shows how to quantitate and filter a pair of spliced, mapped, RNA-Seq datasets to produce an initial candidate list of transcripts whose expression is changing.

  • Yes, it can handle both technical replicates (termed Data Groups) and biological replicates (termed Replicate Sets).

  • Can SeqMonk handle multi-species comparisons? For example, RNA-seq of human vs rat vs mouse vs dog vs chimp?

In the above comparison, would it also handle species without a reference genome (but similar to one of the species compared), e.g. a species similar to dog, e.g. wolf RNA-seq data

Sorry if my questions are a bit daft. I am new to RNA-seq

  • Can SeqMonk handle biological replicates?
