This is a video slide show made up from mostly Poloroid Pictures, I took during my hitch in the U.S. Navy. There are photos from the USS Dominant, the USS Affray, the USS Jacana, and the USS Limpkin. I served on these ships as a Damage Controlman, from 1965-1969. We had it rough most of the time, but managed to have some good times as well. Since these ships have been scrapped, I just wanted to take time to remember them, and perhaps bring some memories to a few fellow Shipmates, and Sailors. To them, I wish all the best.

  • Thanks for watching, I often recall my Navy Days and now realize I would do things a lot different if I got the chance to ever redo it. We really had no clues about life back then. Always happy to hear from someone who was also in Mineland. Best wishes. Walter DC2
