I hate when people mention the "gay" thing in this movie. Back then men loved each other and it was normal, and no one was freaked out by it. Alexander loved his friend as much as Achilles loved Patroclus, but that love wasn't shown in Troy. So people shouldn't freak out.

Athenians, Spartans, Thracians, Macedonians ALL OF THEM were Greek. Athenians and Spartans however considered Macedonians and Thracians inferior to them and not worthy of being called Greek. Alexander the Great basically united Greece and told them that I will be the greatest Greek in the history, and that's also a fact and it's stated by the British, Americans and basically every university in the world.
