12x14 greenhouse. Approx cost, $300
Was fun to build. Should produce some good organic - non pesticide fruits and vegetables.

  • Interesting...not sure if it would withstand the strong seasonal mountain winds and temps. I get up here though...maybe.

  • This winters ice storm took out the plastic. I was curious to see if it would survive the winter.. Now I know. None of the PVC cracked. It is all intact. So, I will have to replace plastic sheet. Already bought it.. cost $18. So, I will most likely have to replace plastic sheet every year or come up with an easy way to install plastic and remove in fall. Ive come up with a few ideas. Might impliment them this year if time permits. BTW, I live in upstate NY

  • Brilliant, sink with garden hose. I got a mail order greenhouse and I think I would have saved money with this method and will try it for building another. Thanks. Is that visqueen plastic?

  • Thanks for the comment. The wife loves that setup. It works out nice. Not sure of the plastic type. It is off the shelf of local hardware store. Its only 4mil.

  • very cool ive seen a lot of these in our local alottment and was wondering about instructions thnx very much:P

  • your welcome. The whole family gets into growing vegies now. My daughter wants to start growing flowers to. I might install some upright supports so we can hang baskets off the pvc center piece. Utilize the whole green house.

  • Hey, great design and build. I am curious as I am building one at the moment, did you use one full sheet to cover the structure? or, ive seen some people cover the end pieces and then do the middle section, let me know! Thanks :)

  • thanks

  • Does the plastic sheets reduce the sun light emitting to the plants from above? Or are they just there for a cover?

  • i have a 20'x12' made with PVC as well and i made it for only $25... why was yours so expensive?? mine lasted all seasons

  • You built this really good, but I would have liked to see more details on the construction

  • You can get greenhouse plastic online from the greenhouse megastore or farmtec that last 4 years.

  • if you take the size of pipe you used an cut it in 3-4 inch peaces ans saw it down the middle you can clamp it on to both side i hope this helps

    the cheap guy

  • Nice video :) this may sound silly, but I am in the middle of buidling one of these myself, got half way threw it, and thought, HMMMM how do I vent it besides the door, we get very hot temps here in Oregon......thanks for any ideas in advance

  • I'm curious about the details of construction. Did you use a 45 degree elbow at the peak? Exactly what size / schedule is the pipe? What centers (16 inch) between?
