I am so sick of hearing people I would hope were feminists (lesbians and gay men) trashing and attacking Palin in women hating ways ("she has a bible up her cunt"). Words like cunt NEVER are appropriate in political discussions. There are many valid criticisms a feminist or other type person could make against Palin, why resort to mindless gutter sound bites? Are brains so passe in the US now? Re experience, she has much more executive experience than Obama.

These interviews are observations by people on the street. Obviously Sarah Palin invokes anger in people. She is anti women's rights, does not educate herself about the rest of the world and invokes hatred of minorities in her descriptions of Obama.(For instance saying the color of his skin is a light burden) It is clear that for people who choose to buy into her rhetoric brains are indeed passé.

I view brains as passe, when the best vocabulary a person has in expressing their own views on a politician is "cunt", regardless of whether they are left or right. Palin brings out many responses in people. Some people like her policies very much and some dislike them. That given, brains are indicated when the reasons for their views can find expression more fully than just spouting hate. It is distressing that in these hard times, so many have allowed themselves to be lost in hate.

I agree with you. Brains are indicated when someone can express their views without hate. Palin spews hate. She creates polarizing views on everything from the troops in Iraq to small towns in the US. At McCain-Palin rallies, there are insistent cries of Treason! and Terrorist! and Kill him! and Off with his head! as well as the uninhibited slinging of racial epithets.
