For a few years there has been Cooper's Hawks that visit Saco Factory Island, with its abundant Pigeon supply and large mills to perch upon. I've given this hawk the nickname D.B. because I think it has $200,000 stashed somewhere on the island ;)
Typically, you get a quick glimpse of it flying through the parking area or you see its silhouette in the trees feasting on a pigeon. Sometimes you can see the other birds scatter and see it fly quickly by the river or the mills on the Biddeford side of the river.
But on June 19, 2008... this bird was patient with me and let me film it from several angles over the course of an hour and a half. Here are six minutes worth of video taken from a 3rd floor window, from the parking lot and from directly beneath the bird.
