Interesting. I usually think the same about artists like D'. In this case a lot of the blame can be laid squarely at his shirtless feet though. This entire album is pure genius and goes down in the annals of neo soul history as the apex of the genre alongside the likes of 'Mama's Gun' et al; the confusing & ridiculous inclusion of Redman & Methodman notwithstanding. He even used Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady studios to record it. Unfortunately we may not see the likes of this again

So shocking to see such a poor response to such artistry. Put aside his magnificent beauty, the man is a genius.
