Great song by George. I had this album at one time, it had all good songs. written by Gordon Lightfoot.

George had a single out in the sixties and the name of the song was Urge For Going.If anyone has this song please post it.I think lots of people will like it.Don't forget George was a Tar Heal.

art4ali I would like to give listeners some information about this song. It was released in 1968 as a single - as shown in the video posted by PJDooWop. The album titled "The Gentle Country Sound" RCA Victor LSP-3962 was also issued in 1968 The album was never reissued and this song never appaeared on any of his other albums.

I remember this song from when I was young. I heard it on his television show once and loved it. I had looked for it for more than 40 years. Now I found it. Thanks for posting it.
