Here is a video of me having fun at the Moses Lake sand dunes in Washington state! It is my first time riding at the sand dunes. I was not using a paddle tire of any kind!

  • btw how many hp has this beast? 500cc 2stroke seem to be much power

  • @Likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Hey thx for watching! I currently don't know the exact on this bike. I'm going to take it to a dyno soon, and test it though! Don't miss my future videos!

  • That was fun. Been awhile since I've watched this. Haven't had a chance to get going on my 500XC project bike yet. Been distracted by other stuff. Think I'm going to get working on mine right after the first of the year. Still can't wait. Looks like a fun bike to ride. That's a really wide opened area there. The terrain in alot of ways actually reminds me of desert riding around here (Phoenix, years ago). The sand there looks kinda hard packed in places (fun). Been riding recently?

  • @SixSpeedSS Hey thanks for coming back and watching again! Oh yeah thatll be great once you start working on it, its an AWESOME bike. I'd love to get an aftermarket muffler/exhaust for it though that would be nice. Yeah its very wide open! and a lot of fun! Some loose sand, and some packed stuff. Along with jumps and some hills so its a great mix! I haven't been riding at those sand dunes recently, but I've been riding around my house. I'll have new videos of new terrain soon hopefully!

  • @SniperShot891 Yeah, looks like a ton of fun, and a great work-out to boot.

What's the issue with your exhaust and silencer? Some issues there can be more easily repaired/corrected than one might think. But I do believe there is atleast one company that does still make new pipes and silencers for these. Forget the name off the top of my head.

Can't wait to get rolling on rebuilding mine.

  • @SixSpeedSS Nothings wrong actually! I have just heard comments from people that I should upgrade it and that they've noticed a power difference on their CR500's from the upgrades, so I was considering potentially upgrading sometime. That would be nice if it actually helped.

  • Sand dunes are hard:) my xr slid out alot at Beverly

  • Im a huge fan of giant two strokes. I have two husky 500's and one 430 ( '86 white elephants) You must, at the very least raise the clip on the needle at least of one notch but I think I would go two from the sound of that blubbering monster. And start hunting for a smaller main jet. Your making maybe 35 hp. Clean that jetting up and you'll really know what you have there! They all come with with terribly rich jetting that must be changed after break-in . Jeff Portland Or

  • @SniperShot891 Interesting. I hadn't heard any real input on different pipes for these, but was curious too.
