Statline: 36 points 7 assists 6 rebounds 1 steal 11-19 FG 1-2 3pt 13-14 FT (32 points in the 2nd half)

Kobe Bryant puts up a masterpiece in the 2nd half as he dazzles the crowd with an assortment of impossible jumpshots. After being nonexistent in the 1st half due to foul trouble, Kobe comes back in the 2nd half with 32 big points, 13 in the 3rd quarter and 19 in the 4th. He helps to bring his team back from a 4th quarter deficit and knocks down one tough clutch basket after another under pressure. Kobe misses the potential game winner as he is forced to take a 30 foot three point shot, a shot he would make exactly one year later.

Shaquille O'neal puts up 36 points and 11 rebounds to compliment Kobe Bryant as he does most of his damage in the 1st half. Bonzi Wells scores 29 points for the Blazers while Rasheed Wallace scores 21 points along with the game winning 3 point basket.

  • 2:24 wat a travel

  • The funny, and awesome, thing is, a year after this game, kobe hit one of the craziest shots in NBA history, at the buzzer, at the exact same place he missed the buzzer beater in this game.... :)

  • Damn this was a regular season game. Games back then were so much fun.

  • if this the kobe bryant who played in the finals with pau, odom, artest and bynum..its over for the opponents..

  • in the beginning i thought that was andrew bynum pulling up for a 3 :D

  • @ptubene1 he switched to #24 because he matured and began passing more. #8 was a ballhog in 2003-2006

  • yo this is why I liked kobe when he had number 8....that would go hard If he brought the number back
