Yep, same people no Pope. How many times has that happened due to ignorance mostly on the part of Irish Catholic hierarchy, Bishops, Archbishops, etc, on the east coast and elsewhere who just couldn't stand to have an overlapping Catholic Rite within their Diocese? They were especially incredibly afraid of our long-standing tradition of Married Priests. Too bad, Greek or Byzantine Catholics would be much more in number now if they had respected our traditions. The OCA would not exist without us.

St. Michael's was founded as a Greek Catholic parish in 1904. Since the schism within the Byzantine Greek Catholic Church in the 1930's it has been part of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of Johnstown, PA.
