**********
Rialto St is now closed semi-permanantly for the Rt-28 & 31st St Bridge interchange project. It is uncertain if they will re-open it once that is finished.
**********

While it's nowhere near as steep as Canton Ave, Rialto Street is still a parlous assent! Measuring in at a 24% grade, it's also only 20 feet wide, but still 2-way, AND a major artery, leading into Troy Hill and Reserve Township. It was built on the rail bed of the former Tory Hill Inclined Railway.

It is often called "Pig Hill" by Pittsburgh Natives as it was a path used to move herds of pigs from the rail stations on Herr's Island to Spring Garden, where there were several Meat Packing facilities.
