@nothingbutpain00 : i think aikido practitioners are called aikidoka. but being a former student before it became "tapondo," it still looks like an aikido-based martial arts. if it was kali or escrima, which is respected world wide, then it's filipino. but that's just my opinion.
so what makes this a filipino martial art? i mean i practised under gavileno when it was call combat aikido, which is japanese. i do not see anything purely filipino in this except for the practioners...can someone explain that to me please?

@bung121 , maybe the one who post this was ignorant regarding the Combat Aikido background of Tapondo, and now claims it as a Filipino martial art.
It's a bit stupid to call a Japanese based martial arts to be a Filipino martial arts
