2011 Jane's Walk: Jane & Finch

May 7, 2011 - The Jane-Finch community participated in the 2011 Jane's Walk. The theme was called Jane Finch: LIFE, Youth and Social Justice. In memory of Junior Alexander Manon, youth, residents, community groups and agencies came together to highlight the victories and struggles of the community. The walk showed the real picture of Jane-Finch, a community that is resourceful, passionate and proud. The walk began at Shoreham Park and ended with a community barbecue at 2999 Jane Street. The event was organized by LIFEmovement, Nomanzland, FLiP, Jane-Finch.com, Youth Expo, Jane and Finch Action Against Poverty, Barrio Nuevo, the Black Creek Community Health Centre and the Jane/Finch Community and Family Centre.
