There's no "Option" in a public option..It's a MANDATE! Go to youtube & search "Pelosi Go To Jail" & see for yourself the first video with obama & hillary in pres debate where the oblamadon states he thinks the public option or mandate is ridiculous...The dude's a LIAR! Just like when he modeled HIS AFGHAN WAR after Bush's & then tried to blame Bush for it...The community organizer has no shame...He should hide his dumbo ears in shame....If it gets as far as his desk, he'll kill it himself...

its a joke, it only give the health insurers millions of mandatory customers with higher taxes on the middle class..
these people are all traitors who vote for this,,
you know what to do-

I respect that you have a strong opinion, however it sounds a little paranoid. HR3200 read like a disaster waiting to happen. I still support the John Mackey plan, 8 things that can be done for healh care that will not increase the deficit, in the WSJ.

I looked over MA public option insurance plan and it's basically what is spelled out in HR 3200. Although MA admits that it's a move toward universal health care. No such chance of that happening nation wide, with the insurance lobby being as powerful as it is in Washington.

The idea of buying insurance across state lines would be defeated before it ever got off the ground. The insurance co have the country divided up just the way they like it. A few have carved up the available market in the area and would not allow any competition to move in on their market. Since the lobby in Washington is so powerful now, it would only grow stronger if this were to be introduced.

MA, HI have tried, and are trying a public option type. Free Market competition that is allowed to cross state lines will create competition, and true competition is where we want to be. It promotes quality care and services at competitive rates. Politicians should stay out of it, instead of playing this game with the country and OUR tax dollars.

Can you name the states who have a single payer program? I can't think of one. Not Mass, not VT.
-
You are aware that there are states in this country that have tried what you are suggesting, and have already failed!! So we should set up all 50 states to fail, by following the same plan??? How stupid is that???!!!!!! Try something that is proven to work!! True FREE MARKETS!!!!
-
Admittedly, by the President, Medicare and Medicaid are riddled with Fraud and Waste (AND YET THEY DO NOTHING BUT TALK ABOUT IT), and are going broke!! Vet care is a disgrace to vets. The government should lift restrictions on interstate health insurance so that there can be true competition. If insurance companies CAN really compete, we all have more choices. But they refuse to do what would work!!! John Mackey of Whole Foods suggest 8 things that can be done, that would work!!!!!
-
Medicare and Vet care seem to be doing a good job of providing health care (spare me the "going broke speech, I've heard that for years and years now).
My comment wasn't about the Gov being in charge, it was about the "debate" going on. They are not serious. The problem is the insurance industry and they are cutting them in. Want to get serious about our health care system..SINGLE PAYER.

its all about bribes, oh excuse me, donations, in washington. While serving, these people should not be allowed to receive gifts from people. This is horse shit.

So fine that even though I work, I can't afford healthcare. So fine that my father lost his life when his insurance was cancelled b/c he was too sick to work. He was sent home to die...... Lovely system we have here.
