  • JWs are part of a cult.

  • Ahh, but let us not forget the verse in front of the one you are quoting.

    Matthew 17:15-16

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"

That is how Jesus said we are to know false prophets, by there fruits.

  • @djfargo123 Well if the JWs are wrong then you tell me where is the true religion is, an can you give me their the name.

  • A QUESTION TO ALL JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. How can a person give something that is eternal if he Himself is not eternal. Micah 5:2. How can Jesus, if he is only a created angel and a good man as the Watchtower would have you believe, give anybody eternal life, unless He is Jehovah from Jehovah as Zechariah.2:8-13 and John 10:30 clearly teaches. And how can Jesus be the the Eternal life of 1st John.1:1-3 if he was a created being. Is there anyone out there who can help me and answer my questions?

  • @Broxxx1138 Charles Taze Russell Was the Founder & First president of Zions Watchtower, which is now the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society. When people wrote & queried the 1914 date as being the end of the old system of things. The magazine published by Russell responded In the July 15th 1894 edition, by saying that these were God's dates, & not ours & there was no reason to change them, even if they could. So much for those who say Russell never claimed to be a prophet, & a false one at that!.

  • @TheLunarmonkey Their beliefs are a revived version of Arienism....need to look that one up...but it is not a new belief...had a friend (years ago) that I worked with and her husband joined the JW do to family pressure but literally destroy the Christmas tree calling it pagan...again KNOW the bible and what they believe and the scriptures will always prevail...you will plant a seed...the rest the Lord God does. Never underestimate His ability to draw them...His power not ours. :)

  • If you're a JW and you really want to find out the truth. All you have to do is read a copy of their "Kindam Interlinear Translation of the Geek Scriptures." In Cilossians in the greek it says "all things" but when you real the other side of the book they have rendered it "all other thing." All you have to do is just take the time to go through this book and you'll see how bad they have translaited. You will find the truth if you do this. And pray first. this always helps too.

  • I had Jehovah witneses call at my house yesterday and he said he would be back soon...... great:(

anyone got any suggestions as to what i should ask him (other than to leave)

  • It's all pretty simple for the JW's: Just ask them "Who raised Jesus from the dead?" For they DON'T believe in the Bible taught "Trinity" dogma. Of course with three simple verses in their own "altered" Watch Tower bible, it shows that the Father raised him (Gal1:1), the Holy Spirit raised him (Rom8:11) and Jesus himself raised his body (John2:19-21). This all equals a Bible taught "Trinity" my friends. Therefore, the JW's follow a false prophet named the "Watch Tower Society. RIP Dr. Martin...

  • Walter Martin is a ledgend in cult apologetics. He is missed. I'm so happy that there are sights like this that brodcast his work!

  • @unpicked1 ...russell never claimed to be a prophet and the organization as theocratic voice of god on earth claims to be inspired by god which is where the writings for the watchtower publication come from...there is an argument but only against the so called elected few who sit on the top

  • It is interesting how the Cults are, like how confused society interacts with one another. Everyone happy to say that they love Jesus or they don't. Or like with Egypt now, people are saying it is free, but too many don't look at the tell tale signs to know if it is of God or it is just a charade put on by blasphemers to defy truth at any cost. The Cults and society and politics are interoperable. Things are only free when it has the markings of God's disciplined pattern. Know why you believe.
