This is a video of me in my Caterham Roadsport B ex. race car driving the new Silverstone Arena Grand Prix Circuit track day. Using a 4kam onboard helmet camera giving a drivers eye view. Most on-board cameras are mounted on the roll-cage or dash and don't really show what it looks like, but this view is pretty much exactly what the driver sees but it looks a lot calmer on video.
Not the neatest lap but was the only clear lap I filmed due to traffic and a Caterham that is slow on the straights but fast in the corners so not many people let you past! My first time on the new circuit so lines and braking points weren't perfect.
Made a few mistakes including selecting 5th not 3rd gear into Chapel, missing the apex of the tight right hander in the new arena section and again selecting 5th not 3rd into Brooklands. The new Arena track was nice, I do prefer the old circuit including Bridge corner and Abbey chicane.
Great video, great sounding engine aswell. What are the specs for this car?
