@alphavortex1 i agree. if they used light to judge the temperature, they have quite a few degrees error in there. To my knowledge gamma rays are the highest energy wave, and i wonder if that would still be the same at 4 trillion degrees.

@rich16041987 The reaction was the size of a single Gold particle, and the heat was only that hot for billionths of a nanosecond. Because of that, most objects you could come across can contain the reaction safely. But I wouldn't touch it with my own hands because of the gamma radiation.
