A short film that I shot at Taylor Street in the late eighties/early nineties. It's an attempt to capture a visual interpretation of a time described by a friend as "a bleak existence where the shadows just never seemed to be right."

Love it. Those certainly were some days of smashing our faces against the window panes. Near Powell street a few years earlier I actually saw a kid slice off the tip of his nose off by smashing his face in a window pane.
