W. demonstrated the same character defect in first swearing to defend the Constitution when taking the oath of office and then shredding the Constitution after 911 by practically suspending free speech and habeas corpus(when he should have resigned for failing to defend the borders), and stripping the Congress of their exclusive right to declare war.
So Scott betrays the Chief Traitor in Command. This is the law of attraction in action, or karma if you prefer. There are no surprises.

This "story" permits the GOP to grab headlines and to lay the groundwork for reframing the party as something other than the party of Benedict W. Arnold. The real story here is about character. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. What Scott McClellan is demonstrating is the primacy of his own survival and success... Based on his behavior it is apparent that all other values are "negotiable" to him (He does not have a value system per se. His framework of values is "flexible". In other words he is just as trustworthy as his peers and masters.)...
