"not impossible to harm but man can not destroy a planet."

Well let's define what you mean by "destroy the planet." If you mean a Star Wars Death Star type of thing where the whole planet is turned into dust, then no, we can't do that now. But if you're talking about destroying the atmosphere, killing thousands of species of animals and ourselves, then the answer is definitely yes. I already explained how, through nuclear winter. Look it up. It's a fact and not debatable.

not impossible to harm but man can not destroy a planet. Nature is more powerful. Anyone who disagrees with this is living in some fantasy world.

xD my language? "missed my completely missed my point." I think that it's you who "missed my completely missed my point"... I was only saying that the bible doesn't exclude science and science does not exclude the biblical theory... and if you read the bible you will find out that the order in whitch earth, sky, land, water, trees, fish, animals and humans were created is the exactly same order that is written in evolution theory...

Lighten up. Carlin nails the hyperbole inherent in popular environmentalism. It deserves his lampooning more than ever now.

@ tutchek

Sadly, we are very capable of destroying most of the planet. While I'm sure some form of life would carry on no matter what we do, we could easily destroy thousands of species, including ourselves. Nuclear winter is the best example. Nuclear bombs exploding carries dust and other particles into the air, which blocks out the sun, which cools the Earth rapidly and kills plant life quickly. No plants means no plant eaters, no plant eaters means no meat eaters. Humanity dies.

tyrellarson, I'm under the impression that pigwax1 lacks the intuition or exposure to understand that taxes can, and in many countries have been, efficiently implemented towards the services and general benefit of society. And anyone with basic knowledge of economics knows that a private health care system cannot always run at a profit without having availability restricted to only the relatively wealthy or drastically reducing quality standards

@darmokandgalad He says, that we cannot harm the planet, but we can harm the humanity. We can extinct, like dinosaurs or some insect specie which extincts maybe just now. But we are probably not powerful enough to transform the planet to one dead rock.
