Hello Ieuan, I think thats a great idea, I will have a look at that. Mine will spilt quite easily because the branch line could stay DC. Now I will just have to convince my better half, she is the boss!!!

Hi Alex, at the moment it is about 3m x 3m with a open middle area for control. If you go to my website: thesouthcoastrailway.weebly.com there is a full track plan and stock list.

HYes I think out of all the BR standard class locos the 9Fs are my favourites. If you visit my railway photos website and go to the North Yorkshire Moors 2011 page you find some pictures of when the 9F visited the NYMR:

Nice camera shots of the two. Not to mention the best 9F ever created. Are these the Hornby or Bachmann models? The 9F's are certainly a good model though, I hope to get 9F, in particular Bachmann's Evening Star

Hi Themodelrailway,
These two are both the Hornby Railroad versions. They are not as well detailed as the Bachmann 9Fs but they are alot cheaper!! I saw a 9F running on the NYMR last month, this is the first time I have seen one in steam, before it was only the Evening Star at the NRM, they are certainly impressive running.
