XBOX 360 OEM System Fan Comparison

Microsoft OEM Delta DC Brushless Versus Nidec system fans in a Falcon Elite.

Getting hold of a new 360 with the Nidec fans is an almost impossible task as you cannot tell whats in the box until you have purchased it.

Therefore I bought a set of the 'prized' Nidec fans from eBay and installed them without damaging my warrenty sticker or case. It now runs alot quieter at the dashboard.

I know the real noise maker is the DVD drive as it spins at x12 speed. However with the next Live update shortly upon us, we will have the abilty of running our games directly from the HDD which will result in an almost silent 360.

By the way... i vaccuum m exbox every 5 days... 4 year old... never ovrheated... soundless dustfree inside... never opened... standing on a tall coffe table away from the sun in front the tv... i also have connected a DC 12V Brushless NMB Fan that blows in aor on the side... My Xbox lies on the side to prevent from falling... This is my recipe for Taking care of your Xbox-360

i got nidec :O... i used a flashlight... the blades are equal to Nidec and i have an old standard Xbox 360...

@YoungGeekGuy How can you be sure? Just because a fan is quieter does not mean it moves less air.

who needs fans, just get/make longer cords for the HDD and dvd drives, and do a total immersion case :P

I have delta DC brushless fans. :) really quiet unless you purposely block the openings on the back. :p

I have a nidec fan set and another with the dc's, I think I will go with the ones that pull more air. No brainer.
