@jacobarisner That's actually subjective and depends on personal taste. I like them both. I don't consider one better than the other. They are both really good but different. There are things I like and dislike about each version.

I think it was probably easier for Michael because Jessie is the standard and when someone else sings it, they can look at the original and change it up and make it their own with their unique spin.

@jacobarisner Michael was an understudy for Jesse way back in the day, and even then I loved his performance, but in different ways from Jesse's. I still think Jesse is the best, not only because he really helped create the character but because I have never seen the same raw emotion in any other Collins. But the only Collins who can be called any kind of second to Jesse--and in this case a really close second--is Michael. I still can't hear his ICY:R without shaking.

Hey, when someone's better, they're just better. Nothing wrong with that. Jesse is awesome as well, but I agree that Michael McElroy is the best Collins.

he was the best collins!! i saw him when i went to the performance last week, and i cried my eyes. the emotion in his voice is so sad, especially live when you can really feel it.

I saw this colins on the dvd of of rent the last performance and he has so much emotion in his voice. This is the saddest song in the play and he just makes it even sadder.
