  • Deception Point! =:)

  • @sodaxcandy08 just in time, cameras are finally getting to the point they can capture it... still doesnt beat what it looks like in real life..

  • just read a chapter on my bio book about protists, now here i am =D

  • I wish I saw this when I was there. This is fantastic!

  • The strongest bioluminescence I've experienced is in Alamitos bay in the Long Beach Naples area. Your entire body would glow like an arua. Bubbles underwater were beyond trippy. Also, ask an old Nam navy vet about the ship wakes glowing in the South China sea. Sometimes it was able to be seen for miles. Before it got too salty the California Salton Sea was also spectacular.

  • those are just people with the blues!!

  • Those are people in the water.

  • when the oxygen hit the dinoflagellates they glow. It is not fish you are seeing. just the waves....if you were to get in the water and move your arm "across the top of the water" to create a splash. That splash will have the same effect as you see here. But as a giant glowing wave...... When you get out of this water, the lil balls of glowing light, will roll down your body. Japan had one and Puerto Rico also has a Bioluminencent Bay. Buddy went to the one in PR. Called biobay.com

  • I don't think I would want to swim in it... besides... SD water is freezing balls!

  • That's so awesome! I surfed in red tide at night years ago. Coolest thing I ever did.
