Visit http://www.drpower.com to learn about the DR Power RapidFire Log Splitter.
Hi, Tom Parent for DR Power Equipment. And I am excited to introduce you to a revolutionary new way to split wood.
Until now, you have had two basic choices for wood splitting...
You could split by hand using an axe or a maul.
Or you could use a conventional hydraulic powered log splitter like this.
This type of splitter relieves you of much of the physical labor, but it is SLOW...painfully slow.
That's because, when we switch to hydraulics, we lose an important element of splitting the old-fashioned way...the SWING.
When I swing my maul, I exert only about ONE TON of force on the log, yet it splits easily and quickly.
So, you have to ask: if ONE TON is enough to split most logs, why is it that hydraulic splitters are equipped with 10, 20, 30 or more tons of force?
Because they're SLOW. In scientific terms, my SWING brings Kinetic Energy, or Momentum, to the task, allowing me to get the job done with a minimum of brute force.
So we got to thinking... How can we put the SWING back into log splitting? After all, shouldn't a MACHINE be more powerful AND FASTER than a person?
Introducing the DR RapidFire Log Splitter!
The RapidFire Model represents a great new way to split wood, and it doesn't use hydraulics at all!
Instead of powering a pump, the RapidFire Splitter's engine turns a pair of massive cast iron flywheels—at 400 rpm—generating a tremendous amount of inertia.
When the operator engages the splitter, the stored energy in the flywheels is released in a sudden burst!
A commercial quality rack and pinion system delivers all that force in a rapid strike, quickly splitting the log, and automatically returning the ram to its starting position in a lightning fast 3 seconds.
We call this log splitting technology our Pulse Power System™. It gives you all the power of conventional hydraulics with a huge improvement in operating speed.
The RapidFire Splitter represents a whole new approach to splitting wood, yet it employs a proven rack and pinion energy transfer system that is mechanically bullet-proof and built to last.
No gimmicks on this machine!
