You who recommend walking barefoot, I wonder where you live.

You who recommend walking barefoot, I wonder where you live. I live on the West Coast, USA, and there's no place that's safe to walk barefoot. Broken glass is everywhere as well as nails, rocks, and other trash. And what about nettles and sand burs? Beach walking is mostly safe, but that's the only place I'd walk barefoot these days.

how fat are you?

They are still a labour saving device, which is why we have an epidemic of body problems at the moment.

Why not save yourself the money and walk around in bare feet? I do. Elementary really. Oh yeah, Ryn and Masai dont throw in any natural variation.

I'd love to purchase a pair, but until Ryn makes a shoe for size 14(and wide width), I'm kind of out of the loop. My MBT's are 13's and work better for my feet than normal shoes but are not helping my toes out at all.

Interesting comments. RYN is the most exciting and technical brand yet that strengthens, tones and aligns the human body by recreating a natural foot strike environment. Intended for those seeking comfort & physiological relief as well as those seeking a workout & physical results.
RYN originated as a footwear R&D company in the early 90s for all major sneaker brands we know today and progressed quickly into a successful manufacturer for the Korean marketplace. Only now are very exporting.

Wearing shoes such as these decrease the mobility of the feet significantly in exactly the same way expensive trainers do. This raises the bodies natural 'startle' reflex which leads to the whole body becoming weaker, less mobile and more prone to injury.

Talk about making an overly simplistic observation and coming to a completely wrong conclusion.
Yes. They walk bare foot.
The point about the masai tribe is they tend to walk on uneven and soft surfaces, as apossed to the flat hard surfaces we walk on (even when we happen not to be wearing shoes)
The shoes approximate walking bare foot on a soft uneven surface, even though you are actually walking with shoes on, on a hard even surface.
You can't achieve that by simply taking your shoes off.
Ryn shoes are junk I was givin a pair buy somebody that was wearing them when they tried a pair of MBT"S and tossed them my way I gave them to my dog who loves them because the plastic is hard to chew up!! I have recently purchased three pairs of MBT'S and I will not wear any thing else!!! so you can think what you want about the two being the same but you need to try them you will see!!! you pay less you get less these are a weak attempt at a spin-off!! MBT has spent millions designing the shoe

The recent quality control issue around your preferred brand are a clear indication that RYN out perform by far. Yes they have spent millions, and surprising lost millions too. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. From dealers who have sold many 1000's of MBT will admit the qulaity and preference is for RYN. Your comments are poor and make a uneducated read.

Dear Mr. Heiherr (from MBT),
It is this very arrogance that you display so typically that turns people off your faltering brand. Look into your company history and you will find RYN and MBT are parallel developments out of Korea in the 1990s when Karl Mueller was a Ski Sales rep for Rossignol there. Only now is RYN exporting. May you live in interesting times.
