Richee Walks Across Water of Tempe Town Lake (2nd attempt)

This is the day that I tried to walk across Tempe Town Lake using styrofoam shoes!

If this is walking then when ever I'm on a boat and walked, I've walked on water?

This would also mean I sat across water as children when we used Styrofoam as flotation.

Work on lifting a foot off the water, then we'll walk my friend. (just look at the other comments).

I have this itching suspicion, that if I renamed this vid "Richee makes boat and paddles on water" people would be saying stuff like "it's not a boat it's a raft!" or "you're not supposed to tie the boat parts to your feet!"

I think due to the fact that I have separate blocks attached to each foot independently and I am standing while doing walking movements, that this brings me closer to the walking on water realm than it does a row boat. But why argue with me, you already knew I was crazy!

Not walking at all. The issue with walking on water is balance, since you have to shift your weight completely off one foot to raise the other out of the water and move it forward. If all you do is add sections for water resistance, then sliding your feet forward would cause you more problems then it solves.

All this video does is prove you can make a boat out of Styrofoam, and that you can stand up in a boat.

Amazing. Proof that the Mythbusters do experitoons, experiments meant to entertain and tease, but not really prove or disprove a hypothesis. You sir, have gone one better than Adam and Jamee: CONFIRMED. Well done. A flotation device and/or helmet may have been advised, but it was part of the charm of the vid that you went out with a shovel, a hat, and goggles.

I have to say as a fisherman at that lake on a regular basis ... The day of you doing this I would not know to hit you for scaring the fish or invite you over because you fit in with my group lol. good job.. can I order one with a pole holder? lol :)

Some people are just upset (negative commentators) that they refuse to enjoy life the way you do taking risks and laughing about it. On the other hand it appears that you have inspired others and sparked emotions in people. I loved the comment that someone said about Eva (the little girl in the video that says "be careful Richee") it is super cute!

Also, last the guy at the end that says 17yrs in the military and hasn't seen anything like it.

I think that this is a great video! You did something most people wouldn't do and I believe it is illegal to venture out onto Tempe Town Lake with just your person!

Also look at your responses... If people were watching the video from the beginning of when you actually get into the water YOU DO ACTUALLY WALK 3-4 STEPS ON THE WATER LIFTING YOUR FEET! But the point was to make it across and since it is long hard trip w/out a breeze the paddle was necessary.
