I agree he should have demonstrated it attached to the bike. He did get the proper rotation right though! Forgot the 8 !

you omitted how to wrap the fig of 8 around the brakes - e.g. the part people actually need instruction on.

This is not how to wrap your handle bar. It was near tight enough and when he was twisting the tape and the end his motion would actually unravel the tape at the bottom.
