This is a nice example of what shadow flicker is really like. The shadows from turbines mostly fall straight on to the ground. Most of the anti-wind films on youtube show shadow flicker falling straight on to the ground. Nearby properties might be directly effected for as little as for a few minutes per year. As for noise, all you can actually hear is the wind on the microphone. Note - at one point you can hear a car pass by.
to be honest... having a shadow on my lawn would be preferable to running out of fossil fuels early due to not using any alternative energy sources and then having no electricity or petrol or plastic goods :| when we run out of petrol the same people complaining about the alternative energy causing a shadow on their lawn wont be able to fill their lawn mowers with petrol to cut said lawn :P its just dumb... embrace the future people!!

nice movie and good example of the lack of noise.
Unfortunatley, some folk woulf rather live in the shadow of a nuclear winter than a flicker on a sunny day :-/

Even if the shadows did happen to fall on someone's property, they wouldn't stay there long because of the position of the sun. A shadow that lasts for a couple hours a day isn't a big deal and people need to get over it...Why would we stop putting up wind farms just because you get a little shadow on your lawn...give me a break!
