This was one of the first movie trailers I was hired to voice (I had done Fast Times at Ridgemont High several months before). Moves was a 1983 release. Tom Cruise had been in Taps in '81 and then shot The Outsiders, Losin' it, this film and Risky Business in '82/83. Pretty much the year that launced his career. Do I sound young? this movie was filmed in my hometown..... johnstown baby and he worked in the steel mills there

@quincee33 Yupp! It sure is. Westmont is still around, their just CALLED the Westmont Hilltoppers, because their on the upper part of the hill (where the Inclined Plane is). Ferndale is still around too. Nothing's really changed here.... nothing at all. We just lost a lot of businesses and work.

Speaking of Rifleman, if you think about it, this movie was ahead of its time in terms of a black quarterback in western PA.

Was Rifleman the QB's real name? or because he had a rifle for an arm? gotta love Hollywood and the things they come up with. Also the hockey movie SLAP SHOT was filmed in Johnstown, Pa.

I think I was about 28 or 29.
