2.Obama:1 million American-built Plug-In Hybrid Cars with 150 miles per gallon by 2015.Immediate short-term energy rebate. $150 billion over ten years towards a cleaner tomorrow.
3.League of Conservative Voters: McCain: 24/100 lifetime rating, 0/100 in 2007. Missed 15 critical environmental votes last year. "Repeatedly clings to outdated policies..."
Obama:87/100 life time rating, 100/100 in 2007.
4. McCain: Pro-off-shore drilling; proposing same levels of reduction as 5 years ago, despite new evidence.
Palin: Sued Interior Dept. for adding polar bears to endangered species list, "number has risen dramatically over the last ten years"--False
Obama: Within ten years save more oil than imported from Middle East and Venezuela combined, by 2020 all fuel suppliers decrease amount of carbon in fuel by 10%.
5.Obama:80% reduction of greenhouse gases by 2050
McCain:65% reduction
6. Obama:Ensure 10%of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012 and 25% by 2025. 15% reduction in federal energy usage. Make new businesses 50% more energy efficient.
