looks like rage bondo like i use usually like 20 to 30 a gallon I got like 10 years experience in it

using a metal paddle instead of the plastic one will make the cheap bodyfiller spread like the expensive stuff.

eeek, scary stuff, rookies that make a mess, don't worry, you will learn in the following years. First thing to learn is how to mix the bondo correctly. You made a big old mess on the edge of that expensive bondo paper mixing board. I Use a triangle shaped piece of wood so you can have a straight edge to work from. Use 2 putty knives. Make your bondo wipes in the shape of ant piles so you dont have to dig into the paint, thereby you will have less "teetering". Learn what teetering is.

If you are really good you can lay multiple layers and only sand the last layer. If you do need to sand between layers you just need to blow off the dust before you next layer.
