You know what... she did not circumcise him just because she wanted to.. hypospadias is a medical condition where they have to circumcise the baby so they can fix the condition. If they did not fix it their son would not be able to urinate properly or reproduce. so before people criticize learn what your talking about. My son also has to go through this procedure.

@kimandalesana0409 They don't care. They are all experts on everything related to foreskins and circumcisions. They know much more that a doctor who went to school for years. "Intactivists" have spent many hours gleaming through one sided web pages and are licensed Internet doctors. Personally, I get a good laugh at their expense. I am circumcised, have a healthy sex life, no psychiatric problems, no problems relating to increased pain perception. Lies they believe happen when circumcised.

Thank you for posting this video of your beautiful son. I watched it the night before my 8 month old son had the same procedure. It made me a little more comfortable having the procedure done. The very next day he was back to his happy, smiling and laughing old self. My God bless your family and thanks for helping this South Florida family feel a bit more relieved w/ your post.

They do not have to circumcise when doing hypospadias repair. Most pediatric urologists in the US say they do because they don't know how to do the foreskin-sparing surgery. It is common practice in other countries to preserve the foreskin when doing a hypospadias repair. Here in the US there are some doctors that do the foreskin sparing surgery. You can search for them if you don't want your son circumcised. My son will have this type of surgery.

Thank you for posting this. My son 11 months, has mild hypospadia and chordee with scrotal webbing and he will be going in fr surgery tomorrow morning. I hope he is just has happy the next day. Thank you for being brave and posting this without getting so upset over individual who do not realize what hypospadias is, this is certainly not a surgery for circumcision but for a birth defect that needs to be fixed with the use of foreskin..
How is your son doing now? Thank you.

You're such sweet lowing mommy! I glad to see him in a good mood... And I wish that all your other sons will never ever have circumcision for any reason! He is really sweet, just not very lucky to be born with hipospadia or whatever it is... My best wishes.

@greg3564 We DO care, because circumcision's been done to us when we couldn't have a say in the matter. We want the individual to be able to decide if a lifelong damage is done to them.
(ps, by no means are most of us female who are against forced male circumcision; males are simply standing up for themselves and for male children who need protecting)
I'll say it again, since the nerve damage is the same... would you fix a problem with a daughter's genitalia by cutting off her clitoris?
Thankyou for posting the video of your beautiful boy. My little one will be having the op shortly in the UK. Some people are so ignorant! You only have to look at a pre-op baby with hypospadias to realise they are talking rubbish. Obviously I'm nervous about it, but it would be negligent to leave him. Just a shame I have to read intactivist drivel when researching my sons condition.

@71Stirling Most people are ignorant in not knowing what hypospadias even is and just seeing the circumcision word in the title of the video. I hope everything goes well for your little one. David is now 4, and you can't even tell he had surgery!
