NASCAR collector Charles Ross has decided to part with his incredible collection of racing memorabilia, and in this video he talks about one of the items being sold.
So few authentic Dale Earnhardt Jr. firesuits ever get into the hands of collectors that any chance you may have to get one could be your last. But this particular firesuit stands head and shoulders above the others from his career.
Dale Jr. was wearing this firesuit during the race weekend when he won the February 2002 Busch race at Daytona, the track that claimed his legendary father's life just a year earlier. And he did it driving a #3 Richard Childress Racing Monte Carlo, which marked the first time that the #3 Monte Carlo had returned to NASCAR competition since Dale Sr.'s passing.
It was an emotional victory for Dale Jr., the Earnhardt family and the millions of fans watching or attending the race, and it set in motion a string of consecutive Busch Series wins at Daytona that we may never again see repeated. To top it off, this firesuit has been personally autographed by Dale Earnhardt Jr.!
Ross has partnered with the well-known automobilia auction website GoMotorBids.com to sell his massive array of memorabilia and Diecast collectibles. You can get more information about this item (plus thousands more) by visiting GoMotorBids.com.
